Before you book

The practical stuff, insurance, privacy, and what to expect with Binah.

Are sessions in person or online?+

All sessions are virtual. Binah sees clients by secure video anywhere in New York, so you can meet from wherever you feel most comfortable.

Do you take my insurance?+

Binah is in-network with Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, 1199SEIU, and also sees private-pay clients. Benefits are verified for you before your first session inside the secure portal. See Fees & Insurance for details.

How do I book?+

Use the Book a consult button. It opens Chasing Serenity Psychotherapy's secure client portal (SimplePractice), where you choose a time and share your details privately. Nothing about your health is entered or stored on this website.

What happens in a first consult?+

It's a relaxed conversation, what's bringing you in, what you're hoping for, and whether Binah feels like the right fit. There's no obligation to continue, and you won't be charged to inquire.

Is what I share confidential?+

Yes. Your records and messages live in SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant system under a Business Associate Agreement with the practice. This marketing site collects no protected health information. See the Notice of Privacy Practices.

How long and how often are sessions?+

Most sessions run about 45–55 minutes. Many people start weekly and adjust the cadence with Binah as things settle. You decide together.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?+

You can manage appointments yourself in the secure portal. The practice's cancellation window is shared with you at intake, generally please give as much notice as you can so the time can go to someone else.

What if I'm in crisis?+

This site and online booking aren't for emergencies. If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or go to your nearest emergency room, help is available 24/7.
